- OUR HISTORY
Lorenz Wagner, the son of shoemaker Johann Wagner, founded the LOWA company in the tranquil town of Jetzendorf, north of Munich, in 1923.
He spent days and months developing lasts, models and soles. His work laid the foundation for the company's future success.
However, the company's 100-year history was not only characterised by rosy times. In the 1950s in particular, LOWA had to contend with major challenges, which Sepp and Berti Lederer, Lorenz Wagner's daughter, successfully mastered.
A new era finally began in the early 1990s. It heralded a turning point and made LOWA what it is today: one of the most important outdoor shoe manufacturers in the world.

Z-6N GTX C The certified version of the all-rounder for many uses: With the Z-6N GTX C, LOWA offers a very comfortable shoe that impresses with its functionality and low weight. It is perfectly designed for use in demanding terrain and marches with medium-heavy packs. This suitability is also emphasised by the use-optimised rubber compound and tread pattern of the sole, while the heat- and cold-insulating sole construction offers slip-resistant, oil- and fuel-resistant properties and is resistant to contact heat. The raised shaft made of particularly hard-wearing nubuck leather ensures optimum grip and support, while the durable PU material of the sole provides excellent cushioning and stability thanks to different degrees of hardness. The lining with GORE-TEX membrane guarantees an optimum foot climate even during strenuous activity. The Z-6N GTX C is also antistatic. |

BREACHER S GTX MID W The BREACHER S GTX MID W is part of a completely new generation of functional combat boots. The ankle-high shaft of the boot offers an ideal combination of stability and high freedom of movement. The upper material is a combination of highly abrasion-resistant, breathable CORDURA® material with particularly water vapour-permeable suede. In addition to the comfortable dual-density PU midsole with integrated arch support for particularly long marches, the certified genuine ankle protection system with PORON® technology makes these boots the perfect equipment for soldiers and private military contractors. The BREACHER S GTX MID W is reliably waterproof thanks to its GORE-TEX PROFESSIONAL membrane. It is certified as a professional shoe in accordance with EN ISO 20347:2012, is antistatic and has a cold and heat-insulating sole complex. The outsole is not only highly slip-resistant, but also resistant to oil, petrol and contact heat. |

ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI The ZEPHYR MK2 GTX HI is a combat boot with an ideal compromise between agility, lightness and stability. The raised HI-CUT shaft provides the necessary support for skydiving and fast-roping missions. The upper materials used consist of a combination of water-repellent and tear-resistant suede and abrasion-resistant and breathable CORDURA® material. An innovative clamping hook allows the lacing to be customised in the forefoot and ankle area. The waterproof and highly breathable GORE-TEX-PROFESSIONAL laminate is ideal for use in temperate and rather wet environments. The 2-layer PU midsole with MONOWRAP® frame surrounds and supports the foot like a kind of exoskeleton. |
